ATHLETE Tatiana Grigorieva has been offered a replacement for the Sydney Olympic silver medal stolen along with the rest of her sporting mementos.

Grigorieva's Olympic, Commonwealth and world championship pole vault medals, photos and other sports treasures were in a safe stolen from a close friend's Brisbane business.
The burglary took place yesterday week at premises owned by businesswoman and friend Elena Gosse in Tingalpa, a suburb in Brisbane's east.

All that was recovered was the safe -- empty -- and Grigorieva's Melbourne Commonwealth Games athlete accreditation card.

Australian Olympic Committee secretary-general Craig Phillips yesterday contacted Grigorieva's manager, Rick Carter, to offer the replacement medal
