Looking for Bubka 6.14 or 6.15 video
Does anyone have the highest bars ever cleared on video? Highest vid I've seen is 6.11 (http://www.stabhochsprung.com). If you dont have a way to post it online, let me know - I can host it on the webservers I run.

The world record jump in Sestriere -1994 - is shown on the tail end of Petrov's Italian Instructional video. I have it somewhere but terrible quality film -try dave Butler at Rice. However probable highest jump with or without a bar is his winning jump of 6.01 in Athens. Estimated by sports scientists at 6.40m.

That is a very good video, but I am going to have to disagree with the 6.40 estimation. Even if you allow for the elbows, which he probably would have pulled out of the way had the bar been higer, he still would not have cleared anywhere close to 640. After a lengthy analysis of the jump in slow motion from three different angles, including the bar cam, using fixed points as references, I'd have to say that he had 6.20.
6.25 tops.
That is, once again, if you allow for the elbows.
His hips may have been at around a little over 6.30, though, at their highest point.
But hey, it's a 6.25 jump. Very excellent technique to watch, although through that whole competition, he was drifting to the right side. He got better with every clearance, though.
