Help us!

Unread postby judit » Fri Dec 26, 2008 3:50 pm

My name is Nagy Judit i am a heptathlete from Romania and my boyfriend is a decathlete.
He has a big problem,he has no pole to practice pole-vault.Hes pole is to small for hes waight, but he hasen't got the money to buy one and the university wan't either buy one, because for one athlete they won't buy a pole-vault.He is the champion of hes category is our contry,he is 21 years old, getting 22.He's weight is about 79-80 kg but he jumps with hes old pole witch is for 68 kg.You know better what this means.
If some of you has a good heart and has also one used but good pole please help us to practice.Believe me it was terrible to went to an international meeting (second league,European Cup of combined events this year without a pole and he had to bag another competitor to borrow hes pole). :(
Our contry unfortunately shows no interest for track and field. That's sad because there are talented youth withc needs attention.
Thank you for reading this asking, with hope Judit.

Unfortunately, it is very expensive to ship poles, even within the US, and the cost of shipping them abroad is staggering (so most of the people here could probably not help you).

However, there are some members of this site based in Europe, perhaps you will get lucky and one of them can help you out,.
