Initiatives to boost the standard of Irish pole vaulting in 2009 - European Athlete of the Month - Martin Fagan interview

In just one of a series of planned initiatives to boost the standard of Irish pole vaulting in 2009 a series of 3 indoor pole vault competitions have been organised for winter 2008 / spring 2009 at the new high performance centre at Jordanstown . Pole Vault coach Jim Alexander has arranged the dates and times as follows:

Sat 20th December 2008 : 12 noon – 4pm

Sat 17th January 2009 : 12 noon – 4pm

Sat 31st January 2009 : 12 noon – 4pm

Competitions are open to men who have vaulted a minimum height of 3.80m and women who have vaulted a minimum height of 2.80m .



Athletes already signed up include current national senior record holder Zoe Brown and former national senior champion Ruairi O’Briain.
