Along with sprints and all that stuff, how many times should i jog a week, and is it beneficial to the vault?

jogging does not help your vault directly, so unless you just have a problem staying in shape then sprints should do it. Maybe the first few weeks of the season jog some just to get your legs back to moving.

You should always warm up properly, and that may involve some jogging, but you don't need to go on long runs. You should stay active in the fall, and that could include a wide range of things, running, biking, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, rock climbing, etc. Generally those things are all preferable to sitting on your duff.

Unless you're like I was in HS and REALLY slow and have terrible cardiovascular fitness. Running cross country helped me, but I don't remember doing much jogging. And our long runs weren't that long. I suppose if I had had access to a college-style environment where I could do pole vault specific running in the fall that would have helped me even more, but I didn't and I didn't know enough at the time to do that sort of thing by myself.
