good core workout?

good core workout?

im basically looking for some information, tips, and excercises to developing a strong core.


i would really appreciate if someone can outline a whole workout.

Gymnastic-based core workouts.

On high bar:
straight legged leg lifts to parallel with ground (3X10)

Same thing but go all the way to the top of the bar (3X8)

Same thing and finish on top with a bubka (3X6)

If you can do all that in 1 day your core is ready to vault 17'+.

Those are the intense ones we do. You will want and need core muscle endurance (crunches and sit ups) before you start muscular strength training.

Lol yea man pole vaulters are just tall gymnasts that can run fast.

i played football for the past 2 years so i've already got enough muscle mass on me... although im not sure if its in the right places.... but yea im trying to trim down this offseason and get a stronger core.

btw, whats a good way to trim off fat? as in only fat, i dont want to lose any muscle mass.

wheeeeew i can officially get fully inverted on a pull up bar. laugh at me but i couldn't do it 2 weeks ago. hahah

Hard time picturing the half way inverted one...
