Bubka's Pole Runs

Unread postby jcoover » Mon Apr 02, 2007 11:54 pm

Ok so is it true that between the ages of 13 and 14, Sergey performed over 10,000 pole runs? Over 2 years, 730 days, that would be an average of over 13 pole runs per day.... is there any way to know whether or not this is actually true?

Most likely the man himself can give you a positive answer, but it seems plausible.

I don't know whether that is true or not. The significant point of the cartoon that made that claim http://www.bubbapv.com/Pages/pruns.htm is that Bubka felt pole runs were very important. Ask vaultwest what he observed Bubka do as part of his warm ups before practice and competition, even at the time he was the world record holder.
