Thanks for the kind words. I guess were doing alrighty. As for my first dec, i have been planning to try one in the summer for the last few years, but ive just been too run down come the end of season. ive done most of the events excluding throws already anyway. Someday ill play around with it. as for now, im just tryin to be the best vaulter i can be. id really like to go 5.40 y the end of the season, but at the moment, im enjoying just being healthy and jumping solid.

If your last name is Mondschein, I used to train with your uncle and lived next door to him back in the late 70's and early 80's. Also used to spend quite a bit of time hanging out with Paul at the Skypole factory in Costa Mesa in the evenings.
was that just after he left UW? Seems like between him and moon, im never a stranger anywhere. Its cool though, i dont feel any shame being in their shadows, and i hope i can live up to the name. guess only time will tell
ps - im very impressed with your spelling. normally that gets pretty butchered.

Yes, it was just after he left UDub. He actually spent some time when he was a senior, I think, down at our place (UC Irvine). He always went out of his way to be nice to me. I never could figure out why (to call me a scrub vaulter would have been charitable) until I found out his Mom was Japanese. I'm Chinese.
I lived next door to him when he was rooming with Dave Morry. That was a pretty interesting place to live, to say the least!

If you're looking for a FAST runway, bring your yankee teammate, (Fritz) and come on up to KSU... Dave and I have yet to compete in collegiate competition. and im itchin' to get him on the runway in an official college meet.
Let me know...
For the rest of y'all out there, C'mon down to Kent, OH if you are interested in getting on a fast runway. Jeremy Scott jumped 18'2 or so last year, and the womens facility record is 13'9 set last year.
