Comeaux Stadium Fire update
We have new information about a story we first told you about last night. Lafayette arson investigators say there's no doubt that last night's fire at Comeaux High School was intentionally set.
KATC Marcelle Fontenot went back to the scene and talked to a neighbor who saw it all.
Taylor Phillips (witnessed last night's blaze) "My mom was outside and she saw smoke coming from Comeaux stadium. She ran inside to tell me to call 911. I called 911 and the fire department."
When Comeaux High student Taylor Phillips walked outside his home just before nine o'clock Thursday night, he saw the entire left side of the football stadium engulfed in flames.

Mats and equipment for the pole vault and high jump were stored under the stadium but thanks to the fire only ashes are left.
Arson investigators say there was substantial fire damage done to the stadium. They are currently looking for the person or persons who are responsible for the blaze.
"It's a really bad thing. I think the people who did this ought to be punished. Living here, across from the school, I hope I never see this happen again."
