From a Altius To A Spirit !!

ok.. since i started vaulting "Altius " has been my pole.... and i know i have pretty good form...but now that my coach bought me a 15 spirit.
and mannn .. wat happend to my Form !!. i try to swing upside down, but i just dont get it :no:

What size pole were you on before? How high were you holding before and how high are you holding now?

It's probably not the brand of pole that is the problem, it is probably the size and how high you are holding.

i was on an altius 14'6" an i was holding it right before the red line.. and now im on a 15'9" and holding it right below the red line 2. i was able to penetrate it. the farthest ive gone w\t it. was 14'8". means im not fully verticle.

So you just raised your grip a foot and are wondering why you aren't making it into the pit very well?

When changing poles, no matter what size it is, you generally always keep the same grip that you had on the previous pole, and inch it up as you feel comfortable. When you move your grip up a foot, you will always have problems getting into the pit. You're lucky you haven't been rejected back onto the runway! Drop your grip a foot and see if that helps! :yes:
