Report from Jonesboro

Well, I knew I wasn't ready to go to Edmonton, so I decided to do the four-day camp at Earl's.

First day I did 10'4" from 6 steps, which I think probably is a PR (my training log got left at home). Irrespective of whether it's a PR, it's just nice to do real vaulting after 4 years of being hurt. Taking it easy this morning but may get back at it this afternoon or tomorrow.

PR meet today. 11'1" from 8 steps. Ran out of gas at 11'3" and withdrew with jumps still available. Nothing is screwed up though. I think I can start jumping a lot again.

yay!! Have fun, and maybe, when you're back in CA, you can stop by Bella Vista HS & have some fun vaulting?

You guys are usually going at it when I have to work, but say hi to Clay and the gang for me.

Holy smokes, 10'4" won my division in Edmonton. Maybe I was ready, after all. If the results aren't typos, something must have happened up there, the guy who jumped 10'4" usually jumps way higher than that. 14'1" won the division above mine.

No worries, it's 4-7 or 5-8 on triple digit days...T & TH.

Congratulations on your vaulting skills & I hope that I'll get to see you again at Summit or Meet of Champions along the way.
