This is the history of a football player who is now in the NFL:

- Signed with Vanderbilt in February of 2001 (spring of his SR year of HS) but left after the 2001 season due to a change in coaching staff
- Played one game at Santa Monica College (A JC) in 2002, suffering a broken collar bone
- Was a walk-on at Florida State for the Spring of 2003
- Returned to Santa Monica College for the 2003 season
- Played for UCLA in 2004, 2005

So he went 4 yr -> 2 yr -> 4 yr -> 2 yr -> 4 yr and best I can tell he was eligible the whole time. I assume he got a medical redshirt for his 2002 season.

Pop quiz: How many waivers did it take to get him eligible at UCLA?

I just passed the NCAA recruiting test and I can't say I saw that scenario on there. Wouldn't even know where to begin. That is crazy!
