Southern Illinois University - Graduate Assistant

Graduate Assistant for Track and Field: Southern Illinois University, located in Carbondale, IL. An NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley Conference. Has a position open for a graduate assistant with experience in the pole vault.

Responsibilities: The graduate assistant will assist the Head and Assistant Coaches. The position will primarily be involved in helping with the pole vault, and administrative duties.

Requirements: Athletic department GA's may choose any degree program in the graduate school, but preference is given to candidates wishing to obtain a degree in Exercise Science or Athletic Administration. GA positions require a bachelor's degree and acceptance into the SIU graduate school program. Please check our website for information on graduate degree programs.

Appointment: Start date is August, 2006, pending acceptance into the Graduate School. Compensation will include a tuition waiver for courses toward graduate degree and a monthly stipend over the course of 9 (nine) months for a 20 hour/week work commitment.
