Rodgers Named MAC Field Athlete Of The Week

KENT, Ohio - Junior pole vaulter Jackie Rodgers (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) has been named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Field Athlete of the Week, for her performance during the week ending April 17.

Rodgers won the pole vault competition at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays (April 16) with a school-record and NCAA-regional qualifying leap of 13-3.50, shattering her previous record of 12-9.50. Rodgers, the 2005 MAC indoor pole vault champ, holds both the KSU indoor and outdoor school records in the pole vault.

Rodgers and the rest of the women’s team will be in action Saturday, April 23 when they travel to the University of Akron for the Akron Quad.
