Banda jumps 5.01 in crap!

Unread postby KYLE ELLIS » Sun Mar 14, 2004 9:05 pm

My teamate Brandon Banda jumped 16-5 at Southwestern last weekend in 44 degree weather, 20 -30 mph winds, and a little rain! I dont get it; it was a season pr for him in horrible conditions, I dont know if any of you guys have ever been to Southwestern in Winfield but its a scary place to jump. The box has a big lip on it, it moves in th ground, small pit and the standards wave in the wind. And also he went from a short run on a small pole gripping around 13-10 or 14. He broke the meet record from 86 of 16-4. That was very unexpected, I thought if he jumped 15 there it would be a good jump, there were 4 guys in the vault and only one girl. :dazed:
