Who's supposed to do well this year? I know the transfer to WI won the indoor, but are there any other people looking to go pretty high? Just wondering.

I know that Michigan State has 2 good guys right now, Langlois, jumped 5.05 at the indoor finals, and Gebauer, ( who red-shirted b\c f injury) should jump pretty high outdoors, should be 5.20 +.......

I only know MSU because i go there, i vaulted for them but am no longer with them........(( long story))

Don't know what's happening at purdue so far this year...just a down year i guess. They've had a freshman guy alreay PR by a foot so far indoors(15' 11"), and recruited two other 16 footers that didn't jump during indorrs for whatever reason.

One of the Purdue guys (Bodey) PR of 4.95 pulled a hamstring in the first indoor meet this year-- running the 60m hurdles. He hasn't competed since-- I guess he will be ready for outdoor.

Did anyone see the Big 10 indoor finals???

i was there, im curious what everyone else thought..

seems like there is talent, lots of " smaller vaulters" nobody was exceptionally tall, the guy who won was the only tall guy there... but the smaller guys were technially pretty good..

The Purdue vault coach must have went to the womens championships, he was not at the mens. Thats a tough choice for any coach.........good thing I didnt have to make that decision this year.

I think Andy Brown is redshirting this year-- I kind of overheard it at one of the meets. I know he has only competed unattached- at about 3 meets.
In HS Andy had a PR of about 4.70.

John Porter, another Cincinnati area vaulter, He went 14-6, 15 (in HS) and he worked out with us over winter break. He's a good talent, and 15-11 is a good jump for him, but he could go higher outdoors.
