Oregon senior Tommy Skipper, the defending NCAA champion in the pole vault, has not competed outdoors this season because of a muscle injury behind his knee. Skipper can't use his indoor qualifying mark of 18-1 as a regional qualifier.
If Skipper is unable to clear at least 16-6 at the Pac-10 meet, he will not make it to regionals. Skipper is expected to accompany the team to Stanford.
