Boys:

1 TX - ~30 over 17', at least 30 over 15' each year
2 CA
3 WA
4 OR
5 OK - nobody lives in OK and they've still got 3 or 4 over 17'6" all-time

Girls:
1 CA - no contest, 2nd tier in CA would probably rank #2
2 FL
3 NY - no depth but the best top end talent right now
4 TX
5 maybe OR

All I know is that for guys, Cali and TX have to be the top two states. Already, CA has 3 guys over 16' indoors. I just am biased becaus eI ahve to compete against all these great guys.

Ca and Tx and hands down the two best states, i think we can all agree on that. But after that it realy depends on the year.

Let look at per capita...
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

Florida has had some good vaulters, both men and women, within the past ten years. Florida has had some good vaulters like Danny "Superman" Pelligrino and Jonathon Miller within the last 5. And Peepers, Megan Westfall, and Erica Hall for the girls.

Oh yeah, lets not forget breaker and toki these girls threatened to beat me with an ugly stick if i didn't mention them ;) !

Yeah Jews I think being such a small state we deserve at least a honorable mention.

you think new jersey is a small state... look at rhode island. the closest guy to me in the state is jumping around 12', and ive jumped 15'9" so far. weve got such good potential resources in rhode island like mark strawderman and the bill falk's camps its too bad we dont have many great vaulters.

Wow, you never give yourself any props. You're a 15'+ vaulter and made it to state last year!
