AAU Youth Girls

The AAU Youth girls had an awesome competition! Usually the USATF Junior Olympics are more competitive, but this year AAU was the tougher meet for 13-14 year olds.

Event 191 Girls Pole Vault Youth
==========================================================================
NATIONAL: N 11-00.25 2001 Jodi Mayes, Fayetteville, AR
Name Year Team Finals
==========================================================================
Finals
1 Stephanie Foreman 90 Hot Springs, AR 11-04.00N 3.45m
2 Bailey Holmes 90 Mountain City, TX 10-00.00 3.04m
3 Kaylea Box 90 New Braunfells, TX 9-06.00 2.89m
4 Chandler DiCKSON 90 St. Hedwig, TX J9-06.00 2.89m
5 Kylee Clement 90 Madill, OK 9-00.00 2.74m
6 Rachel Leuthold 90 Bern, KS 8-06.00 2.59m
7 Dominique Robles 90 Austin, TX J8-06.00 2.59m
-- Britney Ruiz 90 Chalmette, LA NH
-- Ashley Friedrichs 90 Johnson City, TN NH
-- Hannah Pempsell 91 Ardmore, OK NH

Stephanie broke the meet record twice and PR'd twice. She trains with Morry at Arkansas Vault Club.

I was out there coaching Bailey, Kaylea, and Dominique. Bailey tied her PR, Kaylea got a meet PR by a foot, and tied her practice PR, and Dom jumped right under her PR. All 3 hit the biggest poles they've ever been on. Kaylea is still 13 (fall birthday) and will be in 8th grade, the other 2 will be freshmen. They jump with Kris (lonestar) and I in San Marcos, but he's in Spain right now for the Iberian Games.

Chandler Dickson is from right near us, and she tied her PR. In fact, I think the girls in 5th and 6th got PRs as well.

Great jumping! :yes:
