The start list for the men’s PV which is to begin today at 9:00 in Sherbrooke, Canada is now available:

http://www.iaaf.org/WYC03/results/gende ... tlist.html

The list contains 25 vaulters. Today’s preliminary competition will continue until a qualification standard of 4.80 (15-9) or at least 12 best qualified has been reached. I count 11 vaulters in the field who have a seed mark of 4.80 or better.

Scott Duckworth (4.80) and Mitch Greely (4.77) are representing USA.

The women’s start list is not yet available for their competition which is to begin tomorrow.. However it is known that Lisa Ryshich of Germany will be competing who recently set a world’s best mark for 14 year olds at 4.10 which is 13-5.25! Jessica Trujillo and Tori Allen will be representing USA.

Go USA!!

Merely scroll down to the Pole Vault Event and click on start list or results to access the information. What a convenient format!

It’s the ladies turn to perform today in a qualification round which will continue until 3.80 (12-5.50) and/or there is at least the 12 best qualified remaining. The field of 20 includes 8 who are seeded at 3.80 or better and includes 3 above 4.00 (13-1.50).

Jessica Trujillo, TX and Tori Allen, IN will be representing USA.

hey, They cancelled the womens prelims today, so they all adavanced to to the finals. Yesterday I jumped 4.70m to qualify..they went to 4.80m but they shut it down before I could jump because we had alredy qualified. There are several vaulters, one that has gone 5.22m that had his poles declared Illegal... :dazed: . This trip is awesome, The practice facilities and the stadium are the best I ever vaulted at. later, from canada

Im not sure how they were, He was in mitch`s group. but they took the poles from him, he still qualified though. just he wasnt jumping 5.20 height. The girls all advanced because of the rain here.
