CONY'S DUMAS POLE VAULTS 12-FEET: Cony junior Bethany Dumas, who owns both the state indoor and outdoor records in the pole vault, had a personal-best vault of 12 feet, 1.5 inches at a meet at Bowdoin College on Friday.

Dumas cleared the 12-1.5 on her final attempt.

"It's definitely been a goal to make 12 feet for some time," Dumas said.

"I've always gotten close but something's always gone wrong."

Dumas' indoor pole vault record is 11-2, while her outdoor mark 11-6.
