you could make a case that eshbach actually still has the record since skipper jumped that in a post season meet. eshbach did it at his state championship. of course skipper went on to prove that he was definately a better prospect coming out of high school. i still think it is more impressive to do it in your state meet though but skipper also did other events at state, so you take your pick which is a more impressive performance.

Also consider that Skipper had a cast taken off of his hand about 2 weeks before State... :eek:
