you never finish your "backwards C" position. your pole plant looks a little fast as well. you were well over that bar you just didnt penetrate into the pit well enough.

there are two different styles of coming through the pole: you can keep the trail leg strong and straight through the whole vault and just use your drive knee as a extra push. this way you are loading the pole more evenly. and keeping that swing leg strong will also help you complete your rockback. ...

definately get on a heavier pole? it would also be helpful to know how high you are holding on the pole. because if you are holding at 13 or 13 6 you should start holding REALLY low so you dont bend the pole and practice stiff pole vaulting. this will really help your form and itll help you develop ...

it allows you to rock back more comfortably and generate more energy in your rock back. a narrow grip can also help you push off the top of the pole better because your hands are closer so you can use 2 hands for a longer period of time and generate more energy off the top of the pole.

i had this same problem for a really long time and it finally caught up with me. i corrected it by doing millions of 3 step take off drills and jumping at standing grip off the ground.
