Buy a stiffer Altius and I bet it won't feel so slow.

Any pole that is too soft will feel slow.

Quit driving the bottom.

If it takes too long to get the pole unloaded, you are jumping too flat it is not the pole. The Altius pole is a great pole, timing is the key.
Jump with the pole do not sit on it. Move to a stiffer 12' then work on pushing 2 ' then move to a 13' go not move up to a longer pole till you get these fundamentals doing so will cause you to break longer poles with a flat take off.
