One of my coaches used to coach at LSU and tells a story of how he had about 5 to 7 vaulters all over 17', this included Greg Duplantis. But he has been known to blow a lot of smoke out of his @$$.

In the early '90's, we had a good crew at Arkansas State University with Kelly Riley, Jeff Hartwig, John Kelly, Andy Mooneyhan, Mark Rademaker, Walter Mooneyhan and myself. All 17 feet or higher.

Rumor. They never had more than 2 or 3 vaulters at a time usually. I think their school record was in the mid to high 17's though.

Tennessee had these 4 guys at one time
1. Adam Smith: 18' 4
2. Justin Daler: 18' 4
3. Tim Mack: 18' 4
4: LoJo: 19' 7

Who has the most vaulters w/ 17+ PR's coming into this year?? It would be interesting to take a poll. Does anyone have 4 or even 5??

wow, 4 is a lot. they must have pretty intense practices together. Not that 17 feet is unbelievable but its still very solid vaulting. Most schools are happy to have 1 consistently over 17. I think 4 is outstanding. Wonder what the most in one meet is from the same school ??
