Tom Gets His 19 Footer

Unread postby vaultguru6 » Sat Mar 18, 2006 7:22 pm

Tom did open high. 19' high. He opened at 5.79 and made it clean on his first. He then put his poles away and called it a day.

He took one warm up jump in his 2 minutes just before the bar went up to 19 and didn't even turn it up. His 19 footer was literally his first jump of the day. It was amazing.

has anyone, on any level, ever done that...open at 19? and make it...and stop.

i saw LOJO open at 5.80 a few years ago at Mt. sac.... he made it, nearly missed the pits (landed to the right) .. but he kept jumping after that...

Maksim Tarasov opened at 5.90 (19'4.25") and cleared on his first. That's the highest ever.
