Alright, I'm jobless and don't have el dinero to get myself a pole rack for my car.... anybody got ideas that'll help make a makeshit rack for my sedan? i appreciate it

I don't have a rack, I just tie them to the roof through the doors. Probably not the best thing for the paint job in the long term, but it gets my poles where they need to go.

i used to use some small rope and tie the poles to the "Oh Sh*t" handles on the passenger side door.

Take two long towels and put them around each end of the pole bag. Then open your hood and trunk. Align the pole bag on the passenger side of the car right below the side windows and the mirror. Put the towel into the engine bay so that it is not touching anything importaint and close the hood. Do the same with the trunk. If you don't want to wreck your paint tape additional towles around the bag where it touches the car. Good luck!

p.s. Save up for a Yakima or Thule roof rack! Much easier and makes you feel more comfortable.

I was just at a pole vault camp last weekend and it was amazing to see all the different ways people get poles there! Someone did use the Towel's in the Hood and Truck method! Another had a pickup and opened his back window and the pole was right up by the front windshield, through the back window and still sticking out of the pickup box lol! My school bought a thing that roll up in your windows and it has a suctcian (I dont know how to spell that word ) that sucks onto the window too! It has two different straps! Can hold like 15 poles I think! You put one on your front window and one of your rear window! I seen one guy with them on both sides and I was wondering how he got out of his vehicle lol lance

To the person who gave me the idea of using towels and shutting the truck and hood onto them, thank you! worked like a charm! lol

I had all kinds of problems trying to get my poles from point A to point B when I first started. This is because I drive a Jeep Wrangler and it is impossible to find a rack to fit on it. I ended up just using bungee cords and pulling it down to my tire rack in the back and the grill in front. I know this sounds very hoosier but it is competely OK because I live in MISSOURI! haha

By the way if anyone has any other suggestions or ideas for me that would be great.

if im only transporting 3-4 poles for myself, i close them in the passanger side doors w/ towels, but i use the super fancy $2.50 50' rope from wallgreen's to tie bags to my hood (especially if i am moving both the guys' and girls' bags) both methods work wonders.

im personally not a fan of the hood/trunk method. i cant get the towels tight enough around the poles (especially if i dont have a bag)

you don't even really need to tie the towels around the poles when u put the towels into the hood/trunk cuz they stay locked in there pretty good and wont slip... even when they're soaking wet


...did get some weird looks driving around town wit the bag on my car lol
