Refurbish/Improve Used Pit Condition

Unread postby mherrera » Sun Apr 05, 2015 12:22 am

Hi everybody,

I started coaching at a different high school this year. They have an awesome Richey pit, which I love, but they have an old pit that was left out in the elements here in Minnesota (hence the NEW Richey pit). It's looking like they will let me just take the pit because they are just going to throw it away. The main problem with the pit is that when you land or even just sit on the pads dust goes everywhere. They are still decently firm. What are some things I can do to help with the dust flying up? I saw on another thread about laying a sheet down between the top pad and the main pads. What would you do?

Thanks
Mike Herrera

Hi Mike,

PM me and I'd be happy to give you some pointers.
Do you have any photos of the pit and/or top cover?
does the top cover have a zipper or is it sewn closed?

Thanks,

Vaultdad
