Flying with Poles - putting smaller ones inside of others
Has anyone ever tried to put small poles inside of bigger poles while flying with them to save room? For example an 11'6" 110 inside of a 14' 180. Will that hurt or have an effect on the poles? First time flying with poles and want to make the best decision. Thanks!

It shouldn't be a problem, although it does increase the weight, something to keep in mind if you have to carry them by yourself.

If you don't have it already, I suggest you put a 6" ID corrugated drainage pipe, or PVC pipe inside you pole bag - an put the poles inside that liner to protect them. The corrugated drainage pipe is lighter (than PVC) and a better choice.
Something like this: http://www.menards.com/main/plumbing/ro ... c-9567.htm
I found 6" x 20' dual wall, for about $65 at my local plumbing/irrigation supply company and cut it to about 15.5' to fit my pole bag. 6 inch (ID) should fit most pole bags.
Also, its a good idea to put a balled up towel or two to keep them from moving around too much.
