I was using a Spirit 13-150 and holding at about 11'. but that got too soft for me. My friend tried to get me on a 13-155 but that was hard for me. What size pole do you recomend i try getting up on? I am 5'10" 165lbs.

Well it seems like your biggest problem is your plant. If your only on a 13' pole you should be able to jump on pole your weight easy.

well for starters get on a pole at your wieght or above! im assuming your in high school and the you should really be on a pole at 165 or above, thats for starts, and if you were holding 11', try moving your grip up. it might not have been so soft as maybe you were just rolling it over quickly. try raising your grip up like 2-3 inches when needed, like when you are landing deep, called "going up a grip". when you need the next pole, like if maybe when your gripping a bit higher and you are really blowing through, you need the next pole, 13-155, grip the same as you were on the other pole. just try moving up a grip or two on the 13-150 and then if you still are blowing thru, then go the 155. but dont jack yuor grip up all at once, raise it only 2-3 inches everytime and then you might have to make that 1 inch at a time just how your jumping goes. hope this helps, but still get on a pole at you weight! and your run and plant are the most important things, do tons and tons of slidebox, chalkbox, and pole runs
