It is a klister ski grip spray.

And I am weirdo because I'm using Colophony (pine resin for violin bow)... ;)

If one of my team mates reads this post and starts ruining my tape jobs I will hunt you down sir! I already can not stand all the chalk drying out the tape... If you put your hands over your head, are not 10 feet under, and have any hand strength, you do not need anything!

If your hands are really sweaty in a state like florida............you need chalk, otherwise the tape is wet I don't mean damp I mean wet and slimy. That is why we use chalk down in the sunshine state! That black sticky stuff works too! Really good when you are vulting in the rain :D

Whether it is a true grip issue... the feel on the pole... or a mental edge and confidence builder it works for Isi....

Not all things may help but it may not hurt... I liked spray in HS.

enough said!

???? really. I woul have to disagree on that one. Ive only seen one vaulter ever jump over about 17 ft without chalk or spray. Most 19 foot guys are spraying some kind of glue on there. When you start getting to 215 lb poles on 0 mandrel (spelling?) you might need a little help.

A nice thought but I think that statement betrays a lack of understanding of modern vault technique - certainly if you are using big grips and big poles. Take a look at the position of Bubby's right hand immediately after take off - he rarely took off under and I suspect his hand strength would pass muster -but he used a similar - if not identical spray (along with black insulation tape) - to IZZY - and Markov and Hooker and...
