Cost to replace foam?

Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to replace the foam in a set of mats?

If the foam in the whole pit needs replacing, it's probably cheaper to buy a new pit.
At my HS, we had our pits in storage in a storage container. During th offseason, someone broke in and tunneled their way through the pits with a knife. We had to replace the foam in one of the back sections and one of the tri-slant pieces... I think that was it? My memory could be faulty, but I think it was close to half the cost of an entire whole new pit. Unfortunately we could not afford a new pit at that time, couldn't even really afford this replacement...

Thankfully it's just the back sections that need it... I didn't think it would be cheap considering the majority of the section is composed of foam and just covered with the vinyl.

Yeah you can contact the pit manufacturer and get a quote, but I think you're going to be looking at close to the cost of a new pit.
Also, it's a giant PIA to take foam in and out of the casings.

Dang. The pits are just about 12-13 years old, they're in decent shape but the landings aren't as friendly as they used to be. Rotating them hasn't solved it much either

Contact Frank Deleo who is a foam fabricator out of So Calif. His son is Dustin Deleo who jumped at UCLA and is now trying to qualify for the trials.
He fabricated the foam for my pit and uses top quality material. Part of his business in to replace foam for older pits and he will custom make foam to fit any casing provided he has the dimensions. Option 2 is to send the casing to him and he will custom make the foam, install it in the casing and ship the pad(s) back to you.

Most pits have a lattice work or croosed log type construction - measure the opening of these spaces and get piesces that are long enough to go all the way thru and about 1/4 inch smaller (say 8" x 8" by 5 feet as example) - get enough to do at least one level -- works wonders -- some of the manufacturers have done this for customers in the past -- so a much cheaper way and gets you quite a few more years out of pit
