Old Pole (FiberLite)

Unread postby BOCEPHUS » Sat Jul 16, 2011 10:43 am

I came across and old pole. Says FiberLite. Has a wooden plug in it. Is white/bone colored, in great shape, wooden plus also in great shape. Is 14'. Looked online and said gill made these, but said they were red. Just wondering if anyone could help me date it.

Old pole,

I would say: 1969 - 1973. We had a red Gill pole at my HS. 14-160? Just my guess!

Cheers,

thanks for the info. i looked it up online, it also said late 60's , early 70's. am amazed what great shape it is in, and the wooden plug is just slighlty worn.
this is 14', but think it is alot stiffer than 160, i am guessing 180+, bend about like a telephone would. My guess is this one fell down behind the shelves and has been sitting there for atleast 25 years, but was wrapped up in old weather cover so it was protected.
