I am going to a beach in a couple weeks, and wanted to bring my school's pole along. I would bring it for drills and stuff in the sand and on the dunes. Is it safe for my pole to expose it to that much sand? I don't want it to get worn down badly or get sand stuck inside or anything from the sand and wind.

I just want to be safe with it since it isn't mine. Thanks!

The pole will be perfectly safe in the wind.

Go to YouTube and search for "pole vault OPA team pyla" and you will find your answer. Your poles should be getting planted in sand on a regular basis anyway (at the end of the long jump runway). Have fun!
