CHALK

STICKY IS FOR HEAD-CASES ( no offense to anyone) in my experience the people that had used the sticky spray, were major head cases. They had to grip and re-grip about a million times before it was "just right" that got in their head badly.... i was on a 16' 195 , 16.2, gripping about 15'6".

I had converted from sticky to chalk and found it much better and more efficient with chalk..

chalk and tape is all you need . i only use tape for my top hand. what i find funny is that they don't let you tape your pole from the top down, yet they let you spray all kinds of s*** on your hands and pole. go figure......

Does anyone else find that the flex is weird when you plant when using sticky? I can't say i've actually used it, though. My only experience was some really crappy tape the got the sticky part on the outside, but it gripped really tight. When I'd plant on a 13'6 190, it always felt likethe bend didn't go straight into the pit. Anyone else have this prob?

i have a question, would chalk help getting rid of blisters and calluses?

Stick spray is good when you use just enough, you can over do it.

magnesium carbonate is where it is at. powdered confidence. tuff skin seems to be more oldschool. i prefer the chalk much more, but you should use whatever makes you feel better. chalk is much better in the rain, however, and coming from a gymnastics background also leads me to like chalk. i have jumped on a 15'6 170. i think the flex was 19.3. griping 15' for a jump of 5.20m. i just use white tape now, but when i was in high school i liked black red or blue tape.and even though i like chalk, i enjoy when the tape gets kind of tacky.

I used tape only for the top hand. no spray and I vaulted on a 15'9" 195.
