If you haven't been over to the "Masters" section, here's a link to a new area on the
www.bubbapv.com website where vaulters are sending in their photos of backyard set ups. Today I posted Duncan Littlefield's place in New Jersey, complete with him jumping yesterday (12/11/05) in the snow in shorts and no shirt. Enjoy and please submit your own to
bubba@bubbapv.com. Thanks! Bubba

More than a few of these set ups started out very sparse with torn up bags and shabby standards. Check out the 2005 version of a drill I’m doing on this link to get an idea of a facility before an upgrade. It didn’t look great but it was safe and functional.

I think once you make the commitment to start, provided you have the space (I don't), it's just a matter of upgrades over time. Most do this because they don't have access to other facilities and/or the fact that there IS no place like home. I'll keep adding as long as people keep sending photos and their stories. It's a lot of fun for me too so please enjoy! Bubba

I've got a pretty nice "backyard" set up. Pit at both ends of the runway, high-bar, rings, rope, trampoline and a black lab named FloJo that you have to shoo out of the way from time to time.
