Not to be unkind, but this is not the "Snipers Creed". This is the USMC Marksman Creed intended for EVERY Marine.

Every Marine must qualify regardless of rank whether OCS or USMC recruit depot originated. And you used to have to requalify every year regardless of rank, and also because you used to get additional $$ for maintaining Expert or Sharpshooter qualifications. I'd put the USMC rifle team up againest anyone in uniform.

I wonder if we could hold a Biathon consisting of vaulting and shooting?

With Latin being a somewhat dead language it is hard to translated "plant" as in planting a pole. However a closer translation should read:

"Alto fissare, alto salire"

Alto as in "high" or "tall".
Fissare as in to "fix" , "put-in" or "secure down".
Salire as in to "jump".

Stick the pole in the hole and penetrate!
