Sorry the site has been slow

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 11:27 pm

We are working to try and figure out what the deal is. My web host is going to switch my server (again) tonight and we'll see if that fixes the problem or not.

Sorry guys, since my web host promised to switch servers on me, he has been ignoring me, and obviously the problem has not been fixed. There is nothing I can do to fix it on my end. I suspect the problem lies in a different site on the server, nothing from our site.

I will keep doing what I can. It's just the message board, the rest of the site runs fine. Something to do with SQL queries.

Do you know if the bb is running mySQL or SQL Server or something else?

I'm not really a MySQL expert but it could be due to load. Moving to SQL Server "might" help for petter performance but it sounds like the DB server you are on is a POS or is overloaded.

Yeah, it's a shared sever and I think someone else on it is abusing it. My webhost seems to think the same but isn't doing anything about it :(
