Forum sub categories

Is it possible to make forum sub categories? Example, you could combine the 4 technique forums and have one link on the front page that went to the 4 current technique forums (beginner, int., advanced and video review).
As the community is growing, the front page of the message boards is getting more and more crowded and more difficult to navigate. I don't even know if it is possible with the program you use to run the forums!
