Highest vaulting family?

Unread postby opalkak » Tue Feb 08, 2005 11:24 am

I was reading some of the threads and I started thinking, I wonder if anyone has added up what a whole family has jumped to keep track of the highest vaulting family. Only your immediate family.

Sandy 9'6"
Phillip 13'6"
Kevin 17'10.75"

total = 40'10.75"

Anyone else out there have a family that vaults or did at one time?

I had a cousin that jumped like 12'6 or 13 in hs but he was killed in an accident, this was before I was born but my dad says he would of been pretty good.

I think Jan Johnson and family would be pretty close to the top.

I am pretty sure that Jan's PR is higher than 17'4. I think it is in the 18 foot range. But I could be wrong.

I think Earl's family might have them beat!

Earl - 19' 3 1/4"
I don't know what his boys have jumped, but there are three of them*
Grandpa - 9' 1/4" (At 80 yrs old)

*I think two of them have gone over 15'

Great idea opalkak! I wish i thought of this thread earlier!

For me, right now only my dad and i have jumped within our family!

Scott - 15'0"
Dad (Pete) - 9'6" (Back in high school in 1972 on a steel pole)

Total = 24' 6"
Plus my dad didn't jump after high school

That is fo right now!

I thought I might have a chance, but you blew me out of the water, what about Dana, I think you could include her now.
