History of Pole Vault World Records?

Unread postby Russ » Wed Nov 20, 2002 9:46 pm

Does anyone know whether there is a definitive "history" of the pole vault world record?

I assume (a** of you and me - I know:)) that it exists somewhere. What I'm looking for is a list of record heights, record-holders, dates, and locations of the world record in chronological (or reverse chronological order) going from the present WR back as far as anyone can find.

If it is available, could somebody scan it and post it on this site? It would be fun information to have.

Thanks,
Russ

I'll tell you who can give you every and any pole vault record you could probably ever want: Roger Ruth. He always has a ton of record progressions posted on the Vaultngus newsletter. Contact Gus at vaultngus@vaultworld.com to find out how to contact Roger.
