I think that you swing great, but because your run sets you up for a terrible take off, i.e. hips way in front and no top end of your vault... Your last step is too long and therefore setting you up under and with your hips ahead of your chest and head... If you can fix your take off, you will go 5.20 (17') no problem... Try this... http://www.polevaultpower.com/docs/djmidchart.doc I've found this mid mark chart to be the most effective tool in perfecting the run in my vault... You have a better chance of doing things right in the air, if you first do things correctly on the ground... :yes:

The best compliment i ever got after a vault was, "Right before you planted, i knew immediately you were going to make the height."

This goes right along with the step being on and the run being correct.
