8'6" to 14'3": A Journey

Unread postby crayford » Thu Jul 28, 2011 1:18 am

So if you've seen my past uploads onto this sight, you've seen me take steps from being a baby fiberface to the second best vaulter in my area. Now, after having graduated high school, I decided to put together a nice lil montage of all (well most) of my personal best jumps.

Starting bar is 8'6" and final bar is 14'3"

Here's my thought process: if I show you my progression into the level of vaulting where minor details can lead to 1' PRs, you might be able to spot something that's been holding me back for the past 4 years (outside of my horrible, but improving, trail leg).

Also, it's just fun to watch legitimate progress in any athlete; if I had the film from the guy I jumped against all these years (who eventually beat me out for best vaulter in the area) I would put together a similar montage because I feel as if he's even closer to 17' than I am.

Help is appreciated, but if you just wanna watch the clip and not say anything, hey, that's cool too.
