Ambidextrous pole vault

I decided to try polevaulting left handed, and it didnt turn out so bad!!!

I actually started vaulting righty in HS...then quickly realized that I can't jump off my left leg to save my life, so I switched to lefty and have been jumping lefty ever since...except a few times righty just for fun :)

Righty PR - 12'6"
Lefty PR - 17'1"

Total Ampidextrous PR - 29' 7"

Joe Dial pr 19'6 and 15'6

Puts him at 35' combined - best ever I'm aware of.

Eric Eshbach pr 18'8 right and 16' left

Puts him at 34'8, but 16' lefty is the highest I've ever heard of with the opposite hand for an elite vaulter.

wow 16 ft handed... thats incredible especially because thats 2' 8 under his righty pr. that must have taken a little practice!!

Renaud Lavillenie is even better - he has 35'1 1/2" (10.71m) combined:
