Short elite vaulters

Unread postby saylorm3 » Wed Jan 06, 2010 6:26 pm

I know that the height of the vaulter affects the take-off angle and the vaulters ability to jump on longer poles. But, I was wondering if anyone knows of any elite vaulters who were on the short side. Roughly 17+ bars, with a height of 5' 9" and under.

I know its an odd question but i happen to be a shorter vaulter (5' 6") with a PR of 4.70m, and my goal is 17ft. so i just didnt know if its been done before by someone of my stature.
Citius, Altius, Fortius.
