Walker to jump 6.10m in 2007??

Unread postby altius » Mon Apr 09, 2007 9:42 pm

Have just finished viewing film of Walker's clearance of 5.95m and attempt at 6.04m in the OZ championships recently and am convinced that with any luck - and you always need a bit of that - he can jump 6.10m plus this year. We will see!!

Altius,
What about your fellow Aussie's, could we expect a 6.10 or better jump from them? It would be quite amazing to have the number 2 and 3 best jumps ever, occur in the same year.

Unfortunately thats not going to happen. Paul is a great vaulter but does not have the athleticism to jump 6.10 while Steve has some serious technical issues which need to be resolved. Sadly, the one guy I thought might push thinks along this year, Dima Markov, has had to retire because of an ongoing injury problem.

I dont think I can get the video posted because it is pretty crappy amateur stuff - apart from that as you know I am technologically challenged and could do it anyway!
