Pop up inversion

Unread postby Maysie » Thu Mar 31, 2016 6:44 pm

I am a high school vaulter and I struggle with inversion on my jumps, although I can get completely vertical on a pop-up. Does anyone have any suggestions or things for me to think about to make getting vertical easier on competition jumps?

Yeh, anybody can get a full inversion if the run is short enough and the grip is low enough - with or without bend.

The hard work is inverting on a long run vault, with a high grip. Inevitably, any difficulties in inverting can be traced back to faults in the run, plant, and takeoff.
