HS Junior
6'3"
164lb
Skinny build
I basically look like slenderman, long arms & legs, the like.
Starting to lift weights for upper body, will continue till track season starts (3 months)
So I'm pretty anxious about my upcoming track season. My buddy shattered our 165 pole last minute, so at the last track meet we had to dust off a 13'6" (i think) 165lb UCS which we didnt even get in to the pit with. Luckily a coach noticed that we were probably going to hurt ourselves and loaned us a more fitting pole. I'm just about sure that said pole is the only pole my school has that I could bend without breaking. I need help. It was way stiffer than the 12 ft Pacer Mystic I previously bent with. My priority is to not land in the planting box, and keep myself safe. I want to clear at least 12 feet inthw 2016 season. What should I do? Remember it's a much longer pole than I'm used to. I need some tips for controlling my bend and not getting hung up in mid air suspended over the runway or plant box. I need tips for getting in to the pit. Please include some handgrip and flex arm tips.
