Unread postby LogIc » Fri Apr 04, 2008 8:07 am

what run up is the best. running on your toes and jumping in. or at your last stem lower your center of gravity that way you can push up to jump up high? my coach has been experimenting with me and it is really confusing. can you guys help me out and give your opinion's? thanks :-)

In the high jump, you block your forward momentum with your takeoff foot and convert it upwards. In the vault, however, your pole does the blocking. Don't sink to gather for the jump. Just run high and drive your lead knee into the takeoff.
