MSU To Host Second Round Of Pole Vault And Shot Put Clinics
Clinics will be held Mondays and Thursdays from Jan. 31 - March 3.




MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY
PRESENTS THE SECOND ROUND OF THE
2004/2005 COACHES AND ATHLETES
POLE VAULT AND THROWS WINTER CLINIC
MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM JAN. 31 THROUGH MARCH 3

The clinic, which is open to high school and junior high boys and girls of all skill levels, will address pole vault safety for the high school athlete and coach. The throws portion of the clinic will cover technique and drills for the shot put and discus throws. The athletes will get to vault and throw under supervision of the staff. We encourage all athletes and coaches to learn and have fun in a great setting.

Clinic Cost
• $25.00 per session

Time and Place
• 6-8 PM on Mondays/Thursdays
• Campus of Michigan State University
• Jenison Field House

Vault and Throws Clinic Offers
• 5 days of Training and Conditioning
• Exciting atmosphere for learning
• Pole Vault safety rules
• Pole Vault progressions
• Throwing techniques and progressions
• Sprint and hurdle drills
• Conditioning
• Weight Training
• Medicine Ball drills for all events
• Gymnastics





Medical Policy
• Each participant should have medical insurance.
• All participants will need to fill out the Medical Treatment Authorization Form in order to participate.
• Insurance fees for participating will be included in the clinic fees.

Equipment Needs
• Athletes will need to bring their own spikes and poles for the pole vaulting.
• Athletes will need to bring indoor shots and throwing shoes. We will furnish a few shots, but we may not have enough for everyone.

Staff
Clinic Director: Ty M. Sevin
MSU Throws and Jump Coach
Coach Sevin will supervise and oversee all athletes during their two hour training session.

Pole Vault Lead Instructor: Jim Davis
NCAA All- American, Olympic Trials Finalist 19'PR

Shot/Discus Lead Instructor: Steve Manz 65'PR
NCAA All-American, Olympic Trials Finalist

to anyone in michigan these camps are awsome!! deffinetly worth the drive to come have fun and maby even vault a little ;)
If you cant do it right , do if 10000 more times till you can

hey jim i remember where i got this picture from its from a video of you at the texas relays making 18' i am trying to get my own picture but you have to help me come off the top like that :P
